What everyone before me said is great - I want to add the following that I find quite useful: A five outlet electrical cord, since there is maybe one outlet in the cabin and things need to be charged. Sunglasses or two. A lanyard, the kind that fits over your head that comes with a thumb drive. I poke a hole in the ship's ID card (not through the magnetic strip) and wear it, you need the card for everywhere you go and wearing it, even in the pool, is more convenient than putting it in a pocket.

Things that are normally expensive and bad for you (booze, cigarettes, jewelry) is inexpensive, things that are normally cheap, like toothpaste, aspirin, etc is terribly expensive. I strongly suggest to look at the other two responses and make a list. It's easy to forget things like batteries and phone chargers. I list EVERYTHING, and never forget stuff. I tries for a long time to get my wife to do a list, she wouldn't and inevitably forgot something. Now I make one for her, and she actually uses it.
