Where can i find boots?(western riding)?

any place that sells boots. Like, where i live their is a store called "Boots" and they have every type of boots known to mad. Just search on the Internet.

Cj, my suggestion is don't rush out and spend hard earned money on something that you are not sure you would like or would wear. i am sure that at your 1st lesson you can wear sneakers. If you are wanting some really good quality boots at a great price I suggest Ebay. Some of the better boots that are not extravagant but will hold up are Tony Lama, Justin, Nacona and those are just a few. Don't get anything made of exotic skin stick with a cowhide, goat hide ostrich is good to. The exotic are beautiful but you would just ruin them riding. DO NOT GET ANY FAT BABY"S they are very dangerous to ride in, the boot is bulky and your foot could get hung up in a stirrup. whatever you do decide to buy I hope they make you DANCE. if you need any more questions answered on cowboy boots you can email me PS Ebay usually will ship the next day

You can look up in your local phone book where tack shops are near you. Most will fit them to you. At most western stores and feed stores, you can get riding boots.

Where do you live? Go buy some roper boots at any saddlery store and if you like riding western then buy them on line when you can. If you currently have English/paddock/barn boots, then use them. Do not wear tennis shoes. The saddle and stirrups are completely different. You need a boot with a heel for the western stirrup. ADDED: If you will look at the first link I gave you, it shows Roper boots. Since you haven't said what state/country you live in, we don't know where to tell you to buy them.

I have had riding emergencys before where i needed boots fast. Cowboy/cowgirl boots may be the way to go if you cant find them anywhere else. You can try fleet farm or any surrounding tack stores in your area. (Look up on yellowpages) Also ive bought english boots before with a small heel at famous footwear. They were cheap and then after one use you can buy proper ones. goodluck if you need them fast you wont be able to get proper ones unless you go someplace like fleet farm and get girl/boy cow boots.
