    store dem in a dry place... wen u find the time, recycle! but still, most of the parts are useless aftr recycling.. so its better u use rechargeable cells :)

lead etc sell to auth battery seller rest all collect in box and gave it to recycler or kabariwalla as no recycling program are working in india for simple batteries

Hey Vivek, I too lived in Chennai for 5+ years... Ya usually ppl just throw away everything into one bin bag... n dispose it... as far i know Batteries are also recycle able so u can just call a guy.... (the one who collects old newspapers for recycling)..... n ask him if he could take batteries too... if not u can find a nearest battery recycling plant.... gather all those old waste batteries.. n deliver it to them.. you can do this once every 6 months :) Hope this helps.

WE HERE IN: America are not supposed to throw them out in general rubbish either, simply because of the acid in them, but most persons do it anyway, without even thinking of the dangers.
