Wheres the best place for a 14 year old to work?

G'day Mackenize, Thank you for your question. You will struggle to find a job as a 14 year old. Most jurisdictions have tight regulations on what jobs 14 year olds can do and what hours they can work. If McDonalds do hire people at that age, that might be as good a place as any. Small shops, restaurants, delis and cafes are amongst your options. Because of your age, you will probably not earn all that much and you will probably not be in a position to be picky. As well, when you apply try to look responsible and mature enough to handle a job. Regards

Babysitting would probably be the best (: You can't get a real job until your at least 16. If your not okay with babysitting, there's always dogwalking or dogsitting or catsitting or any-animalsitting. Ask your parents for allowance every week if you don't already have that. You could do chores and stuff and get maybe $15 a week? Also, if your planning on going through with the babysitting, you have to be CPR certified so you have to take a CPR class which is about $40-$60. Some places could be free though, it depends. Another helpful tip is to make posters/flyers if your planning on babysitting/animal-sitting/dogwalking. That way, people would be aware of what you want to do. Look online for reasonable prices.
