  It depends........... - each case is different - each client is different - each county is different - each state is different - it depends on how much experience the attorney has in the field they are practicing in Since you seem to be consumed by how much lawyers make, I am concerned, because I am going to bust your bubble............ It could be YEARS and YEARS before you actually start making a good profit in the field of Law. Jobs in the field of Law are drying up FAST!! This is a rapidly SHRINKING vocational field. The field of Law isn't a good one to invest time and/or money into. Many reasons. Today, many people (mistakenly) think they can do their own legal work, thanks to the Internet > results in less need for attorneys. We simply have WAY TOO MANY Lawyers - We have a GLUT of Attorneys! Which means> Even IF you make it through law school (approx $150,000+ by the way for school fees, books, etc), you probably won't be able to find a job when you are done with your studies. Go to your local phone book - check out the Yellow Pages - look under "A" for Attorney - check out how many lawyers there are, just in your vicinity. Now the law schools won't tell you this - in fact, they will LIE to you. The truth is that TODAY'S job market/economy is SATURATED. But the law schools will feed you a fairytale. Why? Because a law student is easy money for a law school - a law school has to make very little investment in a law student, compared to other areas of study. If you want a well-paying JOB when you are done with your studies, consider and look into the field of HEALTHCARE! <THIS is where the jobs are in TODAY'S job market! and scholarships! Good luck.
