Can I use the name Louvre for a site/company for selling art and handcraft items?

Legal - Yes, as long as you are not selling them as Louvre official artifacts and Louvre doesn't have any trademark registration for arts and handcraft items. If your target segment are people familiar with Louvre museum's name, then its a good name. It will also be good if you are selling to people who you will be directly contacting - niche market. Its a bad name for a mass market website. When people who will hear it from someone or second time visitors will type in URL bar, they will probably make typo error. Even if they enter in search bar, it won't show Did you mean "Louvre" as help word so as to take them to your website.
