How do i get my medical assistant certification back?

How do I get my certification as a Medical assistant if I haven practiced in seven years?

  • Answer:

If you haven't been practicing as an MA for that long, you should look into taking a refresher course before taking the certification exam. Most refresher courses are offered through colleges that have a continuing education department. The most credible certification for getting certified as an MA is through the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)...just google it, and you should get their website. You will find all of the information that you need to register for the certification exam. Keep in mind that once you are certified, you will need to keep up with Continiuing Education credits or you will need to re-certify every 5 years.
