Which is a better career choice? Pharmacist, Dental Hygienist, or Dentist?
-
Which has a better Salary and is more desirable? Which has a better retirement plan and is an over-all better career?
-
Answer:
With pharmacy, you are pretty much guaranteed a high paying job before you even graduate. The pay is a little less than dentist, but rising. Its almost doubled over the past decade and really doesn't seem to be slowing. They are generally rated as the highest respected and trusted. It's long hours, but generally within the confines of 9-9. Walgreens pays an awesome retirement plan and pays 3:1 on your investments into the retirement plan (you put $1000, they add $3000). Plus, it's a fun job. That's why I'm in pharmacy school.
