    I suggest you consider a career in software testing. It combines the Computer Science arena with business applications. I have a CS degree and have worked for 29 years as a software quality assurance professional in business IT environments and made a very good living at it. Software QA testers are in-demand (more so than programmers) and I have always made between $50,000 to $100,000 per year or more. Search on "software QA" in Careerbuilder or Monster and you'll see what I mean. I think it's an excellent degree combo. You talk about a salary, but one thing the degrees will really prepare you for is to run your own small computer business, either fixing computers or as a design firm. There are tons of small towns all across the country which do not have ready access to these services. You could also get a job working for a similar firm.
