  really and truly that's a very vague, you can be great with computers but if your not doing something you love then the money means squat also, the salary is different depending on the state that you live in... for example I'm a Computer Information System's major in the Database track because I believe that information needs to become more faster, accessible and safer so I want to become a Database consultant after I get my Oracle certification and my bachelors degree next year. In New York the salary starting would range from 54k-82k per year but in lets say in California the prices that I've seen are around 40k-70k per year My suggestion is that if your great with computers then look into web design, computer forensics, in terms of a bachelors degree. I believe programming is actually a 2 year program. If your more a hardware kind of guy then go into something like EET (electronics engineering...) though if i remember correctly that involves more math.
