• Answer:

  It's primarily semantics. A democratic summary would be: "The procedure we agreed on to meet the objective was to...". Any other format would simply reflect the group procedure to the same end. Still, regardless of the terminology, the team leader would bear majority responsibility for justification for progress and completion.
