  Unless you are able to take rejection well, and have lots of energy, sales is a tough job. In most cases you are paid a low base and high commission, so that your success comes only if you manage to sell. Some sales jobs require you to call on a minimum number of prospects a day - and that by itself is very tough. You end up with lots of stress. If you like meeting strangers and can take the rejection and rudeness that occurs occasionally, than I'd say try it out.
