    This is a good area to put vitamin e oil on it is very safe and a pretty good healer. Get some vitamin e capsules usually 400 I.U. open them up and apply the oil to the area. You can also puncture the capsule with a needle and put the entire capsule inside of your lip where the wound is. The needle hole will allow the oil to seep out and the capsule will eventually dissolve and release the rest of the oil. Also, you'll find that the oil itself doesn't taste too bad.

Is it on the inside of your mouth or on the outside of your lip? I get cracks in the corner of my mouth and also in the center of my lips. I've used hydrocortisone cream topped off with a natural chapstick (make sure it doesn't have alcohol in it because that dries it out more) and it has really helped me. My lips get really really chapped and always crack. This is the only thing that has worked for me. If I apply this before bed, it is still on in the morning. Try rinsing your mouth with peroxide or salt water to help keep the bacteria out of your cut, but DO NOT SWALLOW it. Keep rinsing your mouth especially after you eat or wake up. Do this a few times a day. If it does not heal, you may want to consult a physician.
