What is Public Relations like as a career?

I'd like to return to a career in international relations.  Is there a website or organization  where I can find a career mentor?

• International relations has always been my academic passion.  I'd like to advance my career in this broad field and I'd like to learn from the experience of others who are farther down this path.  Is there a website and/or organization that allows me to connect with those higher ups in geo-strategic consulting firms, lobbying firms, academia, and research fellows at think tanks?

Learning intl affairs actually will leads you to learn politics from different perspective because it will related to more foreign policy based on your current place of studies/state, the minor program will be very fascinating to learn about other culture, economic, and socio-politics life of mutual region and other actors (state, intl regime, group of interest, NGO, and individual) best way is to tracking down the syllabus of a mere university majoring intl affairs/foreign policy, and try to learn in by subject, you may read the common foreign policy magazine, journal of IR in some uni, or go to online courses, i reccomend you to try Coursera, they leads you to its professor with weekly task project and exam, also it will be interesting to learn and disscuss with fellow student on that course.
