hmmm k um not sure if this will help or not but try inserting a psp game into your psp b/c this type of fw only runs games if there is an actaul umd in the psp doesn't matter what game any will do. If this is not the cause then im sorry i can be no help and just advise to start over and use a diff guide google some or youtube some there are so many out there
