Will this PSP Component Cable work for my TV?

I bought a component av cable for my psp but my screen on my tv does'nt work I'm I doing something wrong pleas?

  are you saying psp or ps3? for the ps3 you are going to have to match up the colors to the colors of the tv. once you do that you will need to press input on your remote or go through the guides of the tv not the cable or what ever you have. the input might be under a/v input. but if this doesn't work switch the place where you are putting the a/v cables in. if all else fails check if your tv works for picture, you might want to refer to your tv's owner manual.
