In the PC spore game?

Is installing the game Spore on my PC likely to cause any damage to it (Due to the DRM and Securom)?

    only if you let your friend borrow the cd. and then, if it works like any other game, it just freezes your serial number so you cant play online. at worst. ive had some friends that swap games in the past, and usually what happens is you try to log on to the server and it says 'this serial number is already in use. try again later'. but if you buy the game and youre the only one using it, you should be fine. itunes puts drm in their music and it doesnt screw your computer up, it just takes forever to play that particular song because it needs to check whether or not youre 'authorized' to. number two, id recommend getting a super fast high-end computer, because that game is sposed to take up a ridiculous amount of memory to run ideally edit: wow i had no idea it was that bad these days. i was referring to back in the day when i played starcraft and counterstrike with my friends disks and nothing happened. check that site out, some of those articles are really scary.
