How To Match Clothes?

What happen to the clothes player get when playing a match for a country or Club?

• I am curious to know that what happen to the clothes which a player gets for playing a match. Did they get new clothes each time or they need to change the clothes and leave game clothes so that they can be cleaned for next match. Or they need to take it home and get it cleaned by themself? Did they get new clothes with team logo each time they play, if yes, then they must be having lot and lot of same clothes? Any comments??

  I have known only 1 Test-playing cricketer so far and certainly didn't ask him about shirts so I don't know well about it. But I will try answering it based on all the tidbits and news I have heard. In Australia, players get a set of jerseys (maybe 4 shirts and 2 trousers?) given to them at the start of the home season. Under the CA crest, the current season year (2012/13) and the main Test opponents (SA/Sri Lanka) will be inscribed. See the picture below. For tournaments like the Champions Trophy or the WC or an iconic series like the Ashes, a separate set of jerseys are issued again and the series name is inscribed somewhere. So the players use the same set of clothes for that whole season/series. (Of course, they use and change multiple shirts during a single game and send it to the hotel laundry every time.) When they start the next season, they once again get new issues and the old sets go inside their wardrobes/closets. What they do with this is up to them since they are not likely to be covered by the current year's contract. They can either keep it with them for life, give it off to friends or autograph and auction it for a charity.
