How to hide your relationship status on Facebook?

If you switch your relationship status to the blank box, I believe it will break the connection and force your boyfriend's page to no longer list your name. His page will still say he's in a relationship, but it will no longer have the "with [your name]" part. To make your relationship status hidden on your page, go to privacy settings -> profile information, and under "family and relationships" click "custom" and then use the drop-down box in the window that pops up to select "only me." Unfortunately if you have any family members listed, that section of your profile will also get hidden. Facebook lumps these things together now and there isn't any way to change the privacy for just the relationship status unfortunately.
