Why wont windows live messenger 2011 install?

When i try to install it. the link comes up to either run or save and when i click run, another link comes up and i click run again but then it shows an error code and the end says: ...show more

This occurs because I am guessing you have Windows XP and Windows Live Messenger 2011 is not compatible with it. But don't worry you can download a special version which works on Windows XP here http://explore.live.com/windows-live-Messenger-XP Hope this helps
