Why my emoticons on MSN aren't working?

When I type them in they only show up as what I typed them in like :S I have tried going to <Tool>, <Options>, and <Messenger> but it didn't work I dunno ...show more

Adam, Just do two things--Reinstall and scan and fix system errors with reginout. You will be done with your issue.

Try signing out and back in again ,and keep going to the tools options and re configure them, it works in the end but is a pain in the ***
