    although it's a creative idea, i don't agree with this. It takes away from one central champion. That's also why i don't like how some racing series do podium wins from 1st - 3rd and all 3 get trophies. it takes away from the winner who actually won the race. Perfectly fine with like the NHRA how they have 4 different series combined into one, but with NASCAR it needs to remain one champion per year.

Even Brian France knows that IndyCar isn't worth a **** so he would never do that.

Not in my opinion. There's already too many drivers eligible to win the main championship with the whole chase thing. Adding more championship scenarios would make it that much worse in my opinion. I'd like to see one championship with about half as many drivers as the chase currently has.

I think you might be on the right track, I have always thought NASCAR didn't have enough road course races. I would like to see NASCAR cut back on oval tracks and use more road courses. I know this would take time but once more road courses were being used, I could see having a championship for ovals, road courses, and the overall champion combining both oval and road course tracks. The names, I would leave that up to NASCAR to decide, but I would think using sponsors for the names would be the best route.
