If you think they have the money, ask if they will buy one that has the net around it, and promise them you will sit down with them to establish the rules. Promise to follow those rules and stick with your promise. This can lead to them going along with future requests. Prove yourself, and the next time they will trust you. Gotta tell you, though, I refused to buy one for my daughter and stepsons. I wasn't excited about the possible injuries and they didn't have the ones with nets then. Perhaps you could enroll in a gymnastics course or get a membership to the YMCA if they don't agree to buy the tramp.

That really depends on how you usually get your way with your parents. And how many times they've already said no. You probably already have a good idea of how they work. Try asking for really outrageous things that you don't really want. (ex: prada, going bungee jumping, going out of town by yourself) and then see if you can get them to settle for what you want. That's what I always did. It worked out pretty well for me.

Oh my God, I wanted a trampoline too when I was younger. Check it...show an interest in Gymnastics or something to do with tumbling. Parents can't deny you of your interests. Especially if they're constructive. But thats what you have to do to convince your parents of the benefit a trampoline will be to you. Teen obesity is up, use that...you gotta be creative girl

Just because they're in college doesn't mean that they won't come home and try stupid things, but asking your parents if you can get one or offering to save your allowance and pay for part of it should show them that you really want it. Cheerleaders at my highschool used trampolines to practice and one of the football players went on it and was paralysed from the neck down... it's really sad, but if you have one of those nets, it shouldn't be too bad... or just don't do stupid tricks while you're on one.

Stand in a highly visible place in the front yard and jump up and down for an hour or two. When the neighbors start to stare and shake their heads maybe your folks will relent.
