Is Burton Clash a good snowboard?

Pay $220 for a new burton clash snowboard or $100 for a used ride control snowboard for beginner?

  • I'm debating between a brand new burton clash for $220 or a like new, used ride control board for $100. I have used the clash before as a rental and have liked it very much, but ...show more

  • Answer:

i admit this is completely biased as I have a distaste for Burton and their marketing practices and over-pricing of their materials...now normally getting a used board is a no-no but Ride is a great board and control shouldn't be the issue. Also, be forewarned that Burton caters to a very specific crowd of people...though they advertise their boards as broad spectrum they're more designed for people who are of a certain build and weight. Not many people know this, and I myself discovered it while I was a board technician and a Burton rep filled me in on the quirks. Stick with the Ride, get better, then invest in a K2...you can never go wrong with K2
