Usually around that area the season starts on late november to ealy/mid december. Just keep checking with your local resort for dates. Sometimes we get a cold front and resorts open early and sometimes (like 3 years ago) is so warm resorts have trouble staying open on Christmas. However, the farthest you go up north the sooner resorts try to open and the later they stay open. For instance many resorts in Vermont try to be open by thanksgiving and try to stay open until early to mid march.

when an extended period of cold weather comes. It will vary mountain to mountain as some have better snowmaking capabilities than others, i'm sure the mountain you ride at will have a tentative date posted on their website for when they plan to open
