k, dude you seem a bit confused.let me set things straihgt the epl(English preimere league) is a league.20 teams play 36-40 matches a year. the winner is decided at the end of the season.whoever has the most pionts wins. each match is set like this a win-3 pts a draw- 1 pt a loss-0 pt now, chelsea nad manchester are tied in points in the epl. but, manchester has a greater goal difference-so if man utd win their remaing 2 matches and if if chelsea also win their remaining 2 matches, man utd will win do to the fact that they have a better goal differnece. now the champions league or uefa champions league whichever you prefer. this competiton has to do with the best teams in europe. every nation in europe has its own football league. now depending on the country's rank in europe -it decides whather they can have a team represent their country in the champions league for EX: lets say england are the best team in europe. they are untitled to represent 4 of their teams in the CL(champions league).now, the teams are chosen depending on how they rank in their own league. for EX: last year in the epl man utd was 1st chelsea was 2nd arsenal was 3rd nd liverpool was 4th.so, all of them qualified. and lets say the next best team in europe is germany. they are entitled to 3 teams.so they keep doing this until they have 32 teams. these 32 teams get split into 4-team gruops in random order.they play 8 matches in the group with each other and whichever 2 temas have the highest points in these 8 matches continue the the round-of-16. now each team gets paired with another team forming 8 groups. the 2 teams play 2 matches against each other and however has the most goals of these 2 matches continues on. they do this until two teams reach the final. this year man utd vs chelsea is the final. it is one match and however wins the cl champ.
