Questions about public school?

  • I've been home schooled all of my life and would like to start public school. there are a few things i'm nervous about...for instance i haven't finished my pre-algebra ...show more

  • Answer:

Math standards vary by state, so it's hard to say for sure whether or not you would be behind. However, being in a butt-in-chair school might help you catch up on those things! They may be able to give you extra attention with your reading as well since you're struggling there. It's better to be a little behind and get help than to stay behind in homeschooling if it isn't working for you!

In my school there are plenty on classes you can take that are for people who aren't ready to go onto algebra. And believe me, the teachers at public schools are amazing! They want to help you succeed, so if you're having trouble they will help you. You won't fail if you put in all your effort and listen in class. You'll be just fine and have lots of fun :)

I am sure you are smart and if you keep working on your pre-alegbra then you will get it done. You will be fine in public school math and English will not be that bad. And if you do like three or four lessons a-day on your math then you'll be perfectly fine....feel free to ask more Q's if needed. Your Friend,

Um, you might want to finish up the math book, as for english, you can always get a tutor. =)
