  • Answer:

I have the figures for the 747-200 and 300 - with JT9D-7Q engines Should be close to the same numbers for the 400 - But do you realize that fuel flow if function of gross weight/altitude...? Means that the beginning of flight will be a lot per hour - And at the end of a flight, will be much less - Cruise Mach number .84 - Fuel figures in LBS - Weight 800,000 LBS - altitude FL 310 = 25,000 LBS/HR Weight 700,000 LBS - altitude FL 340 = 23,500 LBS/HR Weight 600,000 LBS - altitude FL 380 = 22,000 LBS/HR Weight 500,000 LBS - altitude FL 410 = 20,500 LBS/HR The 747-287B I flew had a 10 tanks system - Total capacity - 367,500 LBS - A flight from Buenos Aires to Rome took 13.7 hrs - And would burn 330,000 LBS - If you want FF in KG/HR - divide above numbers by 2.205 - The 747-400 has more fuel (extra tanks - in tail) - Probably 375,000 LBS total capacity - .
