lol... i know this one. take the ground school from a local college if you can, that will save you some major money. as for the actual flying part of the training, that depends on the region you live in and the cost of AV gas. most places here in phx charge about 120/hr with instructor and about 80/hr solo. if you learn fast you can get your private license for around 5k, but if it takes you much longer than the required 40 hrs as P.I.C., than it can cost a bit more, most people average about 55 hrs total time as P.I.C. to get their license.
