What kind of airsoft gun should I get electric, spring, or gas?

ok. standard advice. if you're only spending 40 dollars go for a spring pistol. you'll get one better than 200 fps and you'll be closer to better guns you may buy. i'm gonna tell you right now NEVER and i mean *****NEVER***** buy an electric gun of ANY sort that is less than 100 dollars. it is NEVER going to be worth it because the gun will vastly underperform and break far sooner than youd like. second. i understand you're looking into starting correct? that's fine but please don't buy too much crap before you get into better stuff. you'll regret wasting the money, it's better to spend a decent amount on a *good* gun than a little bit of money at a time (a lot over a few months) on pieces of crap. for a first gun i suggest looking at spring shot guns you can get at wallmart, *****, mc sports, anywhere like that. they run 30-50 dollars and they will last long enough for you to want a decent gun. when you want electrics i suggest looking at crossman pulse r72's they're about 100 dollars (***** sporting goods) and granted their pretty much crap by standards but my first AEG was one of these and it served me faithfully. other than that try the UTG ak 47 (about 100 from airsplat.com) AMAZING low price AEG. very powerful, good rate of fire, beautiful accuracy. really, do what you want but i'm tellin ya if you go this way you'll be better off and waste less money by buying quality stuff that'll last insatead of crip you'll need to constantly replace if you want recomendations on a good gun to look into gimme a price range and type and i'll look around for ya (email me) oh and by the way. your goal speed of 200 fps.. yeah you'll barely feel it. you'll want something around 300 fps (never buy an electric gun w/ less than 275-290 fps minimum)

don't get it....if u can get a little co2 pistol that shoots plastic bbs not copper bbs or anything...u will get more fps out of it...200 is ok if your playing in a small back yard...since your playing in the woods....your gonna need at least 300-350 fps...which you'll get out of a co2...you might want to get some extra clips too...make sure the pistol u get is able to accept extra clips or hi-cap clips...i would just use the clip it comes with...and i'd get a belt with a pouch so u can put your clips in and i'll probably only use hi-cap clips so u don't have so switch out clips as much...good luck!
