Lures for catching Pickerel?

  • I have hooked two pickerel on different bait. One was a fake worm and the other was a meal worm. any advice on catching them?

    Hmmm, few people fish for them down south, even though the world record comes from Ga.. I fish for them and you cant go wrong with a broken back rebel (I use gold color, matching the hatch so to speak) but they are aggresive and will hit dang near any lure you can fish in the tangles they live in, oh yeah, down here they are called jackfish.
