    If your brain was deprived of oxygen, even for a short time, you could have brain damage. Usually, if people know they are severely allergic to something they keep an epi-pen with them. I don't know how long you would have to stay, depending on how bad it was, probably just overnight. Unless you had very bad brain damage, and then probably indefinitely.
