Can I get a motorcycle license on a car permit?

Do u need to take another permit test to get an motorcycle license if u already hav ur car drivers license?

    i live in cali too. this is what you need to do. 1. take the MSF training counrse- cost $250. when you pass, you get a waiver to take to dmv. this will waive the rider test. all you gotta do is drive around the DMV parking lot. 2. take the road test.you gotta ride in this tiny *** circle about a foot wide without stopping or putting down your foot and ride around some cones. it's doable if you have a small enough bike, but if you have a huge *** cruiser, good luck.

there is NO grace period for any type om motorized powered vech. in the state of calif. if you operate any vech upon city streets or highways you must have a valid license with insurance you will get a citation 1 and a quart date and possible impound of what you are driving and that will be a 30-day hold till you get your license and insurance to-gether

Probably not, a permit is used to weed out the morons who don't understand the rules of the road. You shiould take a motorcycle safety course to learn how to ride, usually a 1 weekend class and riding set. They teach you on their bikes. Then buy a a GOOD used bike, there's a lot of them dont buy a wreck, dents and dings are OK.

Yes, most states require you take both a written and road test for motorcycle just like you did for a car. I went through it when I lived in CA many years ago.
