    If you have your passport, you can go to a Chinese Consulate Office and they can give you the same day service. If you need sponsor ship for a business Visa, get your invitation letter ready and you can get it for a year. Go online and search for your nearest Chinese Consulate Office. There is an expedite fee in addition to the regular fees but well worth it if you are in a crunch for time.

Best way is to go to Chinese consulate or embassy (get there early) and ask/pay for same-day service. If you can't make it to a Chinese consulate there is another way to get your visa in a few days. Contact a travel service company for help. I used a company called Travel Document Services in Washington DC. You can FedEx your passport and visa application and money to them. They can get the visa in one day, and then FedEx your passport back to you. You pay these guys an extra fee for expidited service and you pay an extra fee to the Chinese embassy for expedited service, and you pay for Fed Ex both ways. Probably you should call them (document service company) first to ask about the requirement that your passport be valid for 6 months. I think the requirement is that the passport be valid for 6 months after you get your visa, not before.
