How can i record from my dish dvr to a vcr?

    Connect the VCR to the TV as normal. Use a second set of standard AV cables (the yellow, red, white ones) and connect the VCR's INPUT to the DVR. DVRs have multiple sets of outputs. One goes to your TV, the other(s) can be used by your VCR, TV, or other devices. All of them will see the same thing, regardless of the output used. Now turn your TV to the input where the VCR is, and change the VCR's input to where the DVR is. You should now see the output from the DVR on your TV, going through the VCR. Pop in a tape, start the show you want to record on the DVR, and hit record on the VCR. When the show is done, hit stop on the VCR. That's all there is to it.
