So I haven't used my printer in a while and it always disconnects from my computer all I want to know is which one of the 2 wires of my lexmark printer reconnects it.Its funny ...show more

should only be one wire connecting the printer to the computer. the flat silver connection is the best one - usb. with the printer completely disconnected you can try to click on start -> printers -> right click and remove all instances of the printer. restart the computer. turn on and plug in the printer to a usb port that it has not been plugged in to recently. voila, pc will automatically install the printer. be sure to right click and 'set as default', if you want the majority of your work to be printed on this one.
