How do you clean a white net-book mouse?

The mouse thingy on my HP netbook left clicks on things pre-emptively, on it's own, how can I stop this?

  have you tried disabling it, cleaning the area surface, and then relinking it? if THAT doesn't work... I suggest that you call HP (if under warranty... bu they'll probably screw you, like they did to me!) but you could always disable the thing all together and buy one that connects via usb,
