Why a TV screen would be green?

One of two things. One your color on your tv settings is changed so the green tint is there easy fix just go to tge settings on yOur tv and from there its pretty self explanatory. But two is more complacated. A magnet got to close to your tv and magnatized it. Like all other electronics magnets have an effect on it. When its happened (more then once) i took a magnet and tryed dragging it to the corner so its out of the wat and then i wated for it to go away (has worked) or you can wate and pray it goes away (also has worked) or you can try to find the oppsit magnet and demagnatise it. Say it was magnatised with a +magnet use a -magnet. Or vise versa.
