How can you find out who blocked you on facebook?

How do you find out whether your friend blocked you or deactivated their account on Facebook?

  • I did some research and apparently if someone blocks you, it means that you'd be deleted from their friend list, so you two would no longer be friends(even if that person unblocks you later, you guys would have to send friend requests again in order to be friends) The guy shows on my friend list, his picture is still there, but when I click it, it says that the account is deactivated and I have an option to unfriend him. When I google search his page or try to search him with another account, he does not show up. This has all been happening when I use the computer. When I log onto my mobile FB App, he isn't even there and his message just has a picture of envelope instead of this profile pic. If you have been receiving some messages in between each other, I could check by using "report" button in the inbox conversation(by trying to report the conversation you guys have had) and if you are not blocked it says "report" and if you are blocked it would say "blocked". I tried it and it said "report" but I am still worried as someone said they tried this method and it said "report" too, but then it turned out that they were blocked by their friend. Any suggestions?

  • Answer:

I believe that FB recently changed their privacy policy and made all the profiles public. Even if your *friend* has blocked you, anyone else will still be able to search for him/ her. Else, you can just create a temporary profile and look them up.
