How to replace a blown speaker in 95 ford probe?

No spark on v6 ford probe?

  • just bought a 95 probe and it has no spark. were should i start? should i replace the coil first?

  • Answer:

Check all of the wiring and fuses. If you don't find any concerns, odds are it needs a distributor assembly. If at all possible, try and find a distributor assembly in a salvage yard. It's pretty much the whole ignition system in a nut shell.

These cars are KNOWN for faulty distributors. Get a rebuilt one from Autozone for about $175.

Check the power(s), ground(s), pull codes and hope it's not the coil. The coil, camshaft position sensor and ignition control module are all part of the distributor, if I remember correctly a new distributor (If still available new) was $800.00 and rebuilt was $400.00 to $600.00 (never had much luck with rebuilt). The system is not that easy to diagnose due to all the ignition components being part of the distributor. If you do take to a shop your best bet would be a dealer for the test equipment they have.
