Is "mean" a linking verb or an action verb?
-
In a sentence like: "That word means many things." I just would like to know if "mean" in that sentence would be an action or linking verb. Thanks!

Answer:
Well, I think it would be a linking verb since it's not doing anything but modifying the word "many". I believe that's what it would be though, anyways.
