I am with a volunteer fire department and we have an old 1942 Chevy Pumper, it needs to be retored,need help?

OK I am the man for you here... I collect classic chevy's there are several places that you can go to get parts for these thing.. rather. Go to the sight and order the free catalog.. www.lmctruck.com www.chevyduty.com I know of some more but I am not on my home computer at the moment so I dont have my bookmarks in front of me. an online search for old chevy trucks and parts will yield several suppliers able to give you anything you need. the parts may be new, and some rebuilt, but they are all available as are any manuals you may require. for some fast info, contact an auto rebuilder for classic cars/trucks. they'll point you in the direction you need. you may even contact chevrolet for some information. there are all sorts of places that do just like you want to do, restore an old vehicle. even wrecking yards can have parts, and listings of hard to find parts and part dealers. most have web sites which list hard to find parts for out-of-state dealers and re-builders.
