What is a claim back pension?

My Veterans Affairs claim is at the Comp and Pension stage; what should I be expecting from the VA?

    By now those rat bastards should have had you 100% and getting your earned check. I retired in 1992, had crushed knees and hearing loss and torn cartlage in my back. They gave me 15% for the hearing and said I was faking the rest. Been fighting ever since. We need to take all the loser in the VA and just execute them. God bless and good luck. Don't let them screw you also. Get the DAV and VFW et al involved in your case.

After your C & P it will take 6 months to 9 months on average before your claim is completed and a decision made. If you don't have a service organization to represent your claim ( for free ) , go to www1..va.gov/vso/index.cfm for a list of the ones chartered by Congress to represent you. You are entitled to 41.5 cents per mile travel pay round trip from your home for the C&P . Collect it that day at the travel pay section at the hospital. The VA is trying some pilot programs in various parts of the country trying to speed up the claims process. Maybe you are in one of those areas , from what I can read they are somewhat faster.
