How can I allow user to create posts in website using ASP.NET?

What is a rapid method for developing a secure, web-based, multi-user data driven application?

  • I do development in http://ASP.NET/VB.NET, I've written some databases using Microsoft Access, and so on. I'm looking for the best way, or an extremely expedient, intuitive way, to create a web application that supports multi-user authentication and is data driven. I'm looking to build an application for a church, sometimes called a ChMS (church management system), similar in many ways to a CRM. Microsoft Access is a quick way to create a database of this site - but I'm not aware of easy ways to incorporate authentication into it. Similar items that might meet my needs would be Zoho Creator (but its licensing limitations and pricing are not agreeable). Of course, I could use Visual Studio, etc. but I'd like to avoid that...I'm looking to move very rapidly from development to release. Using Access, I can prototype the system I want within a few hours. I'm ideally looking for something that would allow for a similar time frame...then after the initial application is launched I would consider rewriting using VS or etc.

  • Answer:

Amazon EC2 Ubuntu Apache/PHP/MySQL Drupal Varnish CloudFlare should do the trick. No need to bring Microsoft into the mix screwing things up.
