  • Answer:

First the requirements to get to UCLA govern by the school and the University of California system. To APPLY to UCLA you need at least a 3.0 GPA, and about 1600 SAT score. to verify click here: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/freshman.html If you want the statistics for UCLA, like the average GPA and SAT score, then for Fall 2007 Average (Weighted) GPA: 4.13 Average SAT score: 1996 on everything So, it's pretty tough, however, UCLA not only looks at those score, but also looks for extracurricular activties and essays. Good Luck

There are strict GPA and test score requirements to be UC eligible, which are available on the UC board or regents web page, but there aren't any such strict requirements for determining to which campus you will be accepted. The average weighted GPA is about a 4.0, and the average SAT is about 2000, but of course half the students will be below the average. There are no fixed minima, apart from being UC eligible, but if you at or near the averages, your chances should be pretty good.
