How do you get stars on Yahoo?

How do you you obtain stars and what do stars do for your yahoo answers account? Do you get points for them?

I wonder the same thing plus I wonder how many points do you lose when you post a question? I think a top contributor is based upon how many points you get, and how many questions you answer.

Stars are completely pointless. They're used by teens to make each other feel popular.. I almost never star a question, unless it intrigues me a LOT. EDIT- thumbs up gets you 1 point each IF your answer is chosen best answer. Thumbs down is nothing. I am curious about what happened to you (saw some answers you gave), were you one of the people who thought it would never happen? Because I was...and it did, at 24 years!
