What is the economy like in Las vegas? Are there lots of people that got laid off, people losing homes, etc?

Still bad here in Vegas. Just this last week six people on our culdisac lost their jobs. Properties are going dirt cheap but the catch is the people buying them are trying to rent them out. Well people are moving out fast so there are very few quality renters. So the price keeps dropping and they are getting the lower life in the nice neighborhoods.

Michigan has the highest unemployment rate in the country, so anywhere else would be better. Having said that, Las Vegas is also having an unemployment problem too mainly because of a loss of tourism revenue. People aren't traveling as much because of the economy, and having California, which has the country's second highest unemployment rate, as a neighbor doesn't help things either.
