Check these sites out...it is a good reference. http://www.bcae1.com/ http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/rf%E2%80%A6 http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread%E2%80%A6 http://www.termpro.com/articles/articles%E2%80%A6 If your headlight dims with the bass notes, the “BIG 3” might work. If not an H.O. alternator will be needed, or else be prepared to pour a lot of $$$ for batteries. This site explains the "BIG 3" upgrades. http://forum.sounddomain.com/ubbthreads.%E2%80%A6 I've designed my car for SQ (Sound Quality) not SPL (Sound Pressure Level) my imaging is very good. The bass sounds as if it is up front and my 12 inch sub (picture as shown) in the trunk. I LOVE how it all worked out. No, it does not. I personally had an enclosure that I custom built for 2 15's, where the subs actually touched. It had separate air spaces for each sub and I paid attention to box shape and size and it POUNDED! with "second rate" 15's and a 400 watt RMS (1200 watts peak) Pyramid amp. It actually got me my first install job. Carefully cut the holes for the subs, too. You can always go back and shave off an extra 1/8" if you need to but you can never put the wood back once its been cut away. I always use construction adhesive to assemble the box for two reasons: 1) it is VERY strong 2) it is thick enough to fill in small gaps in imperfect joints. And carpet is important to give the box a "finished" appearance, can be purchased from most auto parts stores and is easy to install with the same construction adhesive you assemble the box with.
