What are some good, cheap yet good vacation destinations for the summertime?

Knowing where you are would help but -- if you want to cut the budget consider camping instead of a hotel or you can look on craigslist and find a vacation rental which would also be cheaper than a hotel. Then for food -- cook your own. I've even cooked soup in a hotel coffee pot.

Cape Cod isn't too expensive, I guess. Rhode Island. Arizona.- No beaches there of course, though, only pools etc. St Maarten in the Caribbean isn't cheap, but it's a whole lot of fun. Hope I helped.
