  I wouldn't really worry about it...unless your headunit doesn't have a subwoofer level control. Usually that knob is a "bass boost" knob and it boosts a particular frequency (usually 45hz). But I believe that on the kickers it may actually allow you to raise/lower the gain. Either way the knob doesn't allow you to do anything you can't already do on the amp itself, so personally I wouldn't worry about it (but like I said, if you don't have subwoofer controls on your headunit then it's something you would probably want).
